Marty believes that working with a therapist can be a life changing process that can benefit anyone who devotes a little time and energy to it. He welcomes the opportunity to work with you and focuses on treating compassion fatigue, trauma, burnout, depression, anxiety, and relationship difficulties. He works with people of all ages, faiths, beliefs and backgrounds in a nonjudgmental way. Marty specializes in EMDR and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
Marty has worked much of his life helping and encouraging others. For 10 years he served as a pastor of care and counseling at Cornerstone Church in San Francisco, and for 5 years as a chaplain to the international crew for Mercy Ships in West Africa.
More recently, Marty started his own private practice in 2015 and volunteers as a Chaplain for the Police and Fire departments in his community of Petaluma, CA. In this role, Marty helps first responders process the extreme stress and trauma they go through on a regular basis and also works with community members who have gone through trauma either related to crime or a death in their family.

Catherine earned her BA in communications and her MA in English and has a background teaching adults. She currently works as a corporate Training Manager. Like Marty, she spent five years aboard the Africa Mercy, a hospital ship in West Africa. In her role, she provided mentorship to over 400 people from over 40 nations.
Together Marty and Catherine enjoy traveling, hiking, gardening and expressing their love for hospitality by cooking for and hosting friends and family at Wildwood Ranch.
